24 individual crystals plated in copper using electroform techniques. Crystals include: amethyst, lapis lazuli, moss agate, tourmaline, dalmatian jasper, and peridot.

This collection of wearable artwork was born out of the laboratory of sculptor Lauren Frances Evans. 

Lauren’s work is deeply entrenched in the idea of alchemy - defined as a chemical process of transforming metals, but also the ‘magical’ process of transmutation or creation relating to all things. Her sculptures are expressions of her own maternal experience, inherent mysticism, neurodivergent identity, and belief in a constant ongoingness. 

A long-held curiosity about the process of copper electroforming led Lauren into an elbows-deep endeavor to learn the technique seen here. As a college sculpture professor by day, Lauren invited her students along for the ride, spending several weeks experimenting with the sculptural possibilities of electroforming in her class.

Many mistakes and discoveries ensued before Lauren was able to refine her craft into the beautiful collection that we’re proud to represent here at MK Quinlan.
