St. Martin Sequin Bolero
St. Martin Sequin Bolero
This piece was purchased from the estate of Donna Fuller, a Decatur, Alabama native and the U.S. representative for Yves Saint Laurent for twenty years during the 70s and 80s. Donna was a teeny, tiny blonde bombshell with a big personality. She was also the longtime partner of famed painter Fritz Scholder, who revolutionized the Native American genre with his pop art paintings and lithographs in the 70s. The two lived an unconventional and adventurous life together, traveling between New York, Scottsdale, Arizona, and all over the world.
Though we weren’t able to get inside ourselves, we were told that Donna’s New York apartment was a treasure trove of curiosities from across the globe. We feel so lucky to have been able to get our hands on one of her most remarkable collections - her closet! We hope you enjoy some of these highly collectible YSL pieces and otherwise fabulous items from a very special and storied woman.
